Did this write up for a friend that was getting custom shocks for a custom frame. Only thing I didn't put in there is you should know the weight at each set of tires (front and back) and possibly even each tire. This should be just the quad then the rider with all riding gear. The measurements of shock length at different frame heights helps give the shock builder enough info to build a shock that should allow the full use of the travel. This is the max shock length at max frame height to the smallest shock length at lowest frame height. The other shock lengths at different frame heights well help the shock builder know how the shock compresses with wheel travel. This is for valving. The desired ride height will help the builder set the shock sag so it rides at that height.
